Sweet Daisy I would give up heaven for the girl you are
She was a beautiful woman
Fresh as the springtime air
With long straight legs a maternal bosom
And lovely brunette hair
She lived in the woods that southern belle
With Jesse and Luke and Bo
She could sling a beer and drive a truck
With her cousins and Uncle in tow
She was fine in cutoffs better in lace
But she had good genes you see
She wore ‘em so tight they had no crease
Tickled Enos’ fantasy
She could flip old Roscoe charm Boss Hogg
Outsmart a big time goon
She could squeal the rubber on little white Dixie
Race all afternoon
She made real good on her country looks
In her twenties an actress true
I respected her and I’ll say she was
Someone that I wish I knew
Not everyone gets a chance in life
To be what they want to be
Not everyone has the discipline
That it takes to keep you free
But Daisy did and she did it well
Despite her restricted part
So I thank her here for many good times
From the bottom of my heart
Daisy I do wish you well
My friend on the TV screen
Where ever you go and whatever you do
Thanks for each and every scene
Once I was young with hopes and dreams
And never a worry or care
Now I’m coming up out of bankruptcy
And getting off welfare
But I’ll still tune in to TNN
Each day at three and nine
Small pleasures thank the sky for them
For you are one of mine
You did a good job sweet Catherine Bach
I hope they paid you well
Someday your kids will watch the Dukes
Oh the stories you will tell
